Albert Knox

August 28, 1937 — December 21, 2022

Crooksville

Albert Knox, 85, of Crooksville, peacefully passed into eternal life to be with his wife, Maxie who preceded him in death by only 21 days.

He was one of six siblings to his parents, the late Albert and Stella Claypool-Knox on August 28, 1937.

Albert spent his working life as a tool and die maker for Lempco, where he retired after 35 years. His greatest times were spent with his wife during their travels all around singing the words of gospel. He and Maxie enjoyed camping, spending time with their family and working outdoors. He was fiercely loyal to his family who always came first. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed, but his children take solace in knowing their mom and dad are together again.

He is survived by his children, Sandra Savage, Randy (Tammy) Knox, Teresa Moyer, and Karla (Steve) Taylor; his grandkids, Brandy Dingus, Wendy Roush, Mandy Savage, Amanda Knox, Maxie Leiby, Shayla Cannon, Justin Moyer, Sandtrea Ewing, Casey Ewing; several, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Albert is welcomed to eternal life by his wife, Maxie Mullins-Knox who died November 30, 2022; his siblings, Mary Brunton, Lillian (Diddy) Hammond, Reva Knox, Molly Chevalier and two infant sisters.

Friends will be received from 10-1:00 PM, Friday, December 23, 2022, at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Donnie Quesinberry officiating. In keeping with Albert’s wishes, he will then be cremated, and his remains will be buried next to his wife in Iliff Cemetery.

The children of Maxie and Albert Knox would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the nurses and aids with Buckeye Hospice who helped take care of their mom and dad in their final days.
