Anita Jane (Lantz) McHenry

Anita Jane McHenry, 69, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 2:27 PM, Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 26, 1954 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late William and Annabelle (nee: Schooley) Lantz, Jr.

Anita retired after 40 years from ITT Automotive in New Lexington.  She was very involved in caring for her grandkids whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed reading and watching her favorite television show, NCIS.  She was Methodist by faith and formerly attended Deavertown United Methodist Church.

Left behind to mourn her passing is her beloved husband of 50 years, David McHenry; her daughters and their spouses, Jennifer and Darrell Pletcher and Mary and Monette Truax; her grandchildren, Xavier and Silas Truax and Brayden and Brantley Pletcher and her siblings, Tina (Eric) Ewing, Donald (Rose) Lantz, Bill (Tina) Lantz, Forest (Lori) Lantz and Mark Lantz.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her siblings, Sharon Neff, Janet Swingle and Darrell Lantz.

Family and friends may visit to pay respects 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 6 with Pastor Larry Taylor as celebrant.  Anita will be laid to rest next to her sister in Deavertown United Methodist Cemetery.
