Arthur Kenneth Presley, 73, of Zanesville, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 11:10 AM, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Autumn Healthcare Center in Zanesville.
Ken was born July 30, 1939 in Antlers, Oklahoma, the son of the late Melvin and Lillie Cochran Penrod.
He had worked in a local family-owned clay mine and at Epifano's Coal Mine near Six Mile Turn. He formerly attended Faith Center Church in Crooksville.
Ken is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Melvin Wayne and Diane Penrod of Crooksville; his sister-in-law, Judy Presley of White Cottage; his niece Darlene (Donald) Hartley; his nephews, Eric (Jayne) Penrod, Chad (Kasey) Penrod, Thomas (Sue) Presley and Tracy (Jeanie) Presley; several great nieces and nephews; one great great nephew and several cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his step-father, Melvin Penrod; his brother, Thomas Leon Presley and his nephew, Timmy Presley.
Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Monday, May 13 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Ken's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home with Pastors Larry Penrod and Larry Taylor officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial of his cremains will take place next to his mom and dad in Iliff Cemetery at a later date.
