Carl M. Sonny Milner, Jr

Carl M. 'Capt. Sonny' Milner, Jr., 76, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 3:07 AM, Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital ER in Zanesville following an extended illness.

Sonny was born July 25, 1936 in Roseville, the son of the late Carl and Ellen Treadway Milner.

He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Carpenters' Union Local 357. He loved to go fishing at the Muskingum River.

Sonny is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Brenda Pozzessi of Martinez, California and Crystal and David Reed of Roseville; sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Dena Milner and Randy and Teresa Milner all of Roseville; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Dave Miller of Roseville; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Lois Milner of Blue Rock; grandchildren, Chad and Heidi Milner, Nikki and Bill Boggs, Shane and Alisha Milner, Amber and Josh Swope, Ryan Milner, Afton and Justin Martin and Jacala Reed; great grandchildren, Carter Boggs, Claire Boggs, Aubrey Milner, Gage Milner, Emma Milner, Mason Swope and Hoyt Martin and his beloved cat, Spiker.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Tuesday, April 23 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Sonny's life will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 24 with Pastor Wes Kidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery near Roseville.
