Carol I. Cook, 73 of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 9:12 AM, Friday December 24, 2010 at Lancaster Fairfield Medical Center after a brief
illness.

She was born August 24, 1937 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Gerald W. Brown and Ruth Smith Brown Schemenauer.

Carol was retired as the Director of Planned parenthood in New Lexington. She was a active member of Iliff United Methodist Church in McLuney where she was a member of Iliff Coffee Cup Bible Study.

Carol is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Cook, whom she married December 22, 1956; her daughters and sons-in-law, Candy Cook of Crooksville, Kelly and Patrick Moody of Crooksville and Kim and Bill Vickers of Riverview, Florida; five grandchildren, Corey Moody, Kiera Moody(Roger Dennis) and Larissa Moody and Savannah Vickers and Levi Vickers; and her great granddaughter, Sophie Dennis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edna Mae Swingle.

The Cook family will receive visitors from 3:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, December 26 at Iliff United Methodist Church in McLuney where funeral services and a celebration of Carol's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 27 with Rev. Carolyn Hoskinson and Pastor John Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
