It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Lee McConaha, who left this world on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the age of 58. Born on June 4, 1966, to the late, Carl and Jean Ann (Albright) McConaha, Chris was a devoted fiancé, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who poured love into every aspect of his life. Chris will be deeply missed by his beloved fiancé, soon to be wife on December 14th, Amanda Nelson, his children: John McConaha, Jamie McConaha (Aaron Wilson), Josh McConaha (Savannah Saxton), Christopher Summers, Cheyanne Nelson, and Dakota Nelson; his sisters, Joyce Epifano and Debbie (Jim) Dennis; his brothers, Mike McConaha, Bruce (Jane) McConaha, and Rick McConaha. He cherished his family and took great joy in spending time with his grandkids, Lynkin Musselman, Deklyn Musselman, Azlynn Musselman, and Jensen McConaha, who brought him immeasurable happiness.
Chris was a man of many talents, known for his remarkable skills in crafting and woodworking. He took pride in building houses and refinishing various types of wood, imparting warmth and beauty into every project. His love for gardening was evident in the meticulously crafted flower beds he built. He loved being outdoors, no matter the weather conditions. He enjoyed cooking and baking for his family and making up new recipes along the way.
Chris found great passion in music. He played the guitar, harmonica, banjo, violin, and the keyboard, and found solace in the melodies of his favorite band, The Beatles. He could often be found enjoying a natural light beer, a cherished part of his everyday rituals. His years of dedicated service at Home Depot as an OFA associate showcased his strong work ethic and commitment to helping others.
Chris leaves behind a large family who loved him dearly. It is difficult to put into words how much he was loved and how profoundly he will be missed by all who knew him. As we celebrate the life of Chris, let us remember the laughter, love, and joy he brought into our lives. His warm heart and skillful hands touched many, and his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents; Carl and Jean Ann McConaha, his brother, Steve McConaha, and his nephews Christopher Hill and Brady Conrad.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their final respects from 11:00-1:30 PM, Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville with funeral services will follow at 1:30 PM. Chris will then be laid to rest in Rehobeth Cemetery in New Lexington.
