Clara E. Russell

Clara Ellen Russell, 77, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 5:42 PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville following an extended illness.

Clara was born January 5, 1936 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Henry and Freda Sloan Strohl.

She was a homemaker. She attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church near Roseville.

Clara is survived by her loving children, Vickie Moore of Zanesville, Bob & Amy Russell of Crooksville, Jim and Betty Harris of Minooka, Illinois, Ronald Embrey of Columbia, Tennesee, Robbie Embrey of Columbus and Rodney Embrey of Corning; her brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Marcella Strohl of Thornville; her grandchildren, Michael(Angie), Shelly(Darin), Stephanie(Jay), Marci(Lamar), Beth(Andy), Jeff(Holly), Melissa, Ronnie, Michael, Justin, William, Chad, Megan, Jordan, Jackie, Bobby, Kyle and Nathan and her great grandchildren, Dani, Leah(Mark), Logan, Adam, Clay, Alli, Daralyn, Gracie, Conner, Scott, Sophie, Kayleanna, Waylon and Slade.

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore 'Ted' Embrey who passed away September 1, 1965; her second husband, Clair Russell, who passed away November 24, 2004; her sister, Grace Hammer; her brothers, Lawrence, Kenneth, Leonard and George and her son-in-law, Bill Moore.

Family and friends will be received 2:00-8:00 PM, Friday, May 10 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Clara's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 11 at the funeral home with Pastors Carolyn Hoskinson and Terry Priest officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
