David E. Desguin, 80, of Roseville, peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home with his darling wife by his side.
He was born on February 7, 1944, in Morgantown WV, to his parents, the late Paul Eugene and Lillian Velma (Crowner) Desguin.
Following his graduation from high school, David joined the United States Army where he served with honor during the Vietnam War. After completing his tour of duty, David went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene from Ohio University. His professional life was spent as an associate with National Cash Register and owning and operating his own TV repair company. David had many hobbies and interests, ranging from raising and selling tropical fish, developing and managing wastewater treatment plants, to being a devoted member of the Cambridge Amateur Radio Club, where his call sign was N8BOZ. His most notable hobby was making his own fireworks, mixing chemicals and developing shells that would awe the spectators. Known to occasionally underestimate the power of his fireworks, his neighbors in Roseville would at times receive a surprise or wake-up call.
Left behind to mourn his passing are his beloved wife of 55 years, Joanne (Pooler) Desguin whom he married on June 2, 1969; his son, Michael (Heather) Desguin and his doting grandson, Maxwell Desguin.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Jon Desguin and his sister-in-law, Dr. Barbara Desguin.
The Desguin family has chosen to mourn privately, David will be cremated and buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
