Delbert Eldon Thorp, 64 of Crooksville, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.
Delbert was born April 2, 1948 in Job's Hollow, Perry County, Ohio, the son of the late Frank Thorp and Beatrice(Campbell) and Art Moyer.
Mr. Thorp was a former employee of Perry County Foods. He served our country in the US Navy.
Delbert is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Tim) Bobb of Crooksville, Delberta (Michael) Thundercloud of Zanesville and Amy Wheeler (Jimmy Propst) of Crooksville; his sons, Warren 'Jay' (Tammy) Thorp and Daniel Thorp all of Crooksville; his sister, Sheila (Bill) Givens of New Lexington; his brother, Floyd (Peggy) Thorp of Crooksville; step-brother, Jeff Moyer of New Lexington; his brother-in-law and good friend, Bill O'Neal; twelve grandchildren and one great grandson.
Delbert was preceded in death by his infant son, Jamie Thorp; brother, Donald Thorp and sons-in-law, David Wheeler and Jack Riffle, II.
Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 20 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Delbert's life will held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday with Pastor Wilbur McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery, McLuney.
