Dolores June Riffle

Dolores 'Dop' June Riffle, 82, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, June surrounded by loved ones at 4:30 AM, Friday, September 2, 2011 after a courageous battle with throat cancer.

She was born July 29, 1929 in Glouster, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Hogue Pritchard.

Dolores was the manager of Royal Optical until she retired. She loved gardening, her family and her pets.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Don) Young of New Lexington, June (Wyatt) Taylor of Crooksville, Jane Edgell of McConnelsville; her sons, William 'Bill' (Debbie) Riffle of Thornville, Jon Riffle of Zanesville, Joel Riffle of Nashport and Jerry (Kathy) Riffle of Somerset; her brother, Frank (Linda) Pritchard of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Teresa Cole, Gina Barron, Amy Burnett, Tracy Rollins, Mary Ault, Melissa Riffle, Bill and Donnie Young, Scott and Matt Lanning, Kelly and Eddie Edgell, Brad Riffle, Jason and Jeremy Allen, Gerald Ault, Chris (Riffle) Piccone, numerous great grandchildren including Travis Willison and Kyle Barron who called her 'Grandma Honey'; several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Patricia Pritchard.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Riffle who passed away March 10, 1995; her daughter, Mary Jean Bauer; her son, Jeffrey Dean Riffle, grandson, Eric Edgell; sister, Genevieve 'Ginny' Jackson and brother, Delmar 'Dink' Pritchard.

The Riffle family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, September 5 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Dolores' life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 6 with Pastor Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
