Dolores June (Kossman) Stringer
June 24, 1943 — November 25, 2018
Dolores June Stringer, 75, of Corning formerly of Detroit, Michigan died at 9:30 AM, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Genesis Hospital while under hospice and palliative care.
She was born just outside of Metropolitan Detroit the only child of Eugene and Josephine (Patrylka) Kossman on June 24, 1943.
Dolores spent her working years as a food preparation technician for senior housing developments in the Detroit area. Following retirement, her and her husband of 56 years, Frank Stringer followed their son, Tim and settled in the back-country of Perry County. Dolores found beauty in all forms of wildlife and she was a life-long animal lover. She enjoyed spending her mornings and evenings watching the beautiful deer gather and play in her yard, beautiful creatures always seemed to make her smile.
In addition to her husband, Dolores is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Kirk Small of Adrian, Michigan and her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Vicki Stringer of Corning and her grandchildren, Courtney and Todd.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Matthew Small.
Per her request, Dolores will be cremated and held by her loving husband.
