Donald W. Kester

Donald W. Kester, 81, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 5:55 PM, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Adams Lane Care Center in Zanesville following an extended illness.

He was born June 26, 1934 in Bogota, New Jersey, the son of the late Frank Kester and Isabel Preston Kester Hunt.

Donald retired from the Nabisco Plant in New Jersey. He served our country in the US Army during Korea. He was a member of the Roseville Legion Post 71. Donald was Catholic by faith.

He is survived by his god son, Timothy M. (Candace) Wood of California and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Scrafini Kester who passed away Oct. 9, 1998 and his brothers, Bruce and Lee Kester.

Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM-12 noon, Wednesday, February 17 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Donald's life will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday at the funeral home with Mark Weiner officiating. Burial will follow next to his beloved wife in Community Gardens Cemetery near New Lexington with full military honors.
