Dorothy A. Pletcher

Dorothy A. Pletcher, 92, of Zanesville, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 1:55 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a brief illness.

She was born January 22, 1924 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late William B. and Laura Dollie (Stats) Tolley.

Dorothy was a homemaker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Marga Pletcher of Blacksburg, Virginia and Wayne A. and Carol Pletcher of Solano Beach, California; her grandchildren, Eric (Kate) Pletcher, Mark (Nette) Pletcher, Bradley (Tina) Pletcher and Matthew (Valerie) Pletcher; her great grandchildren, Cain, Finn, Alex, Mary, Margaret and Marlena Pletcher; her sisters, Rowena (Tom) Cosgrave of South Zanesville, Dollie (Kenny) Embrey of Deavertown and Joyce (Terry) O'Donnel of Hopewell and her brother, Jenning Riley 'Duke' Tolley of Zanesville.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Pletcher ; her brothers, Cyrus Tolley and Ray Tolley and her sister, Ruth Bohner.

Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Gay E. Blau officiating. Burial will follow Iliff Cemetery in McLuney.
