Eddie Martin (Jr.) Channel
July 17, 1965 — January 21, 2020
Eddie Martin Channel, Jr., 54, of Lancaster passed away following heart complications on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home.
He was born the only son to Eddie Martin Channel, Sr. and the late Mary Jane (Hoffer) Channel on July 17, 1965 in San Antonio, Texas.
Following high school graduation, Eddie enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country honorably. Upon the completion of his tour of duty in the Navy, Eddie could always be found fishing--this is where he was most comfortable and happiest, with a line in the water and a cold one in his hand. Eddie was a very simple man, he enjoyed meeting new people and his personality did not allow anyone to feel like a stranger. The loss of his presence will be felt by his friends and family.
Left to mourn his passing are his daughter, Sierra Channel and her fiancé, Taylor Maclam; his father, Eddie M. Channel, Sr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and John Goldsberry and his nieces, Chloe and Aspen Goldsberry.
Welcoming Eddie into eternal life is his beloved mother, Mary Jane (Hoffer) Channel.
The Channel family would like to extend an invitation to visit and pay your final respects to Eddie on Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 7:30 PM at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. On Friday, January 31 at 11:00 AM, a funeral mass will be celebrated at Church of The Atonement Catholic Church, 300 Winter St., Crooksville with Fr. Christopher Yakkel presiding as celebrant. At the conclusion of the mass, full military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy in conjunction with the American Legion Post 222 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 91.
Following the mass, Eddie will be cremated and then scattered among the very nature he much enjoyed.
