Frances W. Piccone

Frances W. Piccone, 87, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 6:16 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville following an extended illness.

She was born March 21, 1930 in Portersville, the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Forest (Thomas) Cornell.

Frances retired after 25 years as the secretary to the principal at Crooksville High School where she was a care giver and mentor to all the students and teachers that passed through the school during her tenure. She was a former employee of the Crooksville China Company and Sowers Grocery at the corner of Main and China Streets in Crooksville. She was a member of the former EUB Church in Crooksville.

Frances is survived by her husband of 69 years, Frederick R. Piccone; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Don Swinehart of Crooksville; her sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Shelia Piccone of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Shawn and Deelynn Piccone of Deerfield, Michigan; eleven grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Piccone who passed away August 21, 2004; her sisters, Dorothy Sidwell and Betty Paskell and her brothers, Carroll and Jack Cornell.

A private family graveside service will be held. Burial will be beside her son, Nick in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
