George A. Schooley, 63, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 10:33 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville following an extended illness.
He was born July 12, 1952 in Zanesville, the son of the late James H. Schooley and Helen (Smith) Schooley of Crooksville.
George was a former employee of McGraw Edison in Zanesville and P.C.C. in Crooksville. He was Catholic by faith. George served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his mother, Helen, he is survived by his son, Wesley Schooley of the home; special friend, Georgia Mae Norris; his brothers, Matthew (Tammy), Danny, Michael (Mary), Craig (Dawn), Lee (Marge), Len (Claire), James (Karen), Andrew (C.J.) and John (Lori) Schooley; his sisters, Lori Antonetz, Beth Harper (Rusty) and Mary (Mike) Lundell and his sister-in-law, Susan (Jerry) Sutherland and close friend, Lou-Ann Short.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Miller Schooley who passed away Aug. 26, 2008; his brother, Kelly Schooley and his sister, Susan Schooley.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 PM, Wednesday, November 25 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST, Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of George's life will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
