Harry Daniel Gibbs, Sr.

Harry Daniel Gibbs, Sr., 64 of Deavertown, Ohio died at 12:45 AM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 9, 1957 in Fairfield County, the son of the late Harry S. Gibbs and Betty (nee: Wheeler) Gibbs of Deavertown.

Danny was a 1975 graduate of Morgan High School. He had worked as a truck driver, hauling timber for Yonis Logging.  He then formed his own trucking company, Gibbs Trucking.  Most recently, he was a crane operator for IBEW Local 71.  Danny loved tractor pulling and was a member of Lucas Oil Pro-Pulling League and Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association.  He was a very proud Life Member of the NRA.  He enjoyed most any motor equipment and enjoyed riding his ‘buggy’.  Danny was a family man, loved spending time and having fun with his family.

In addition to his mother, left behind to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 43 years, Susie (nee: Maxwell); his children and their spouses, Angie and Jon Post and Danny and Beverly Gibbs; his only grandchild that he dearly loved, Ryan Post and his sister, Lori (Terry) Swackhammer.

In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his former employer and close friend, Joe Yonis.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, the family has chosen a private cremation with no public visitation.
