Howard R. Butch Wheeler

Howard R. "Butch" Wheeler, 68, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 2:51 AM, Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital after an extended illness.

Born July 10, 1942 in Saltillo, the son of the late Dorus and Nellie Saxton Wheeler, Howard was a former employee of Nelson McCoy and Friendship Potteries in Roseville.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Lelia Burns Wheeler; his daughter, Regina (Richard) Steele of Crooksville; his son, Ron (Shannon) Wheeler of Crooksville; his sister, Deloris Kenney of Somerset; his brothers, Donald(Betty) Wheeler of Marysville, David Wheeler of Florida, James(Cora Jean)Wheeler of Crooksville and Gene Wheeler of New Lexington; eight grandchildren, Amanda(Michael) Gordon, Renea(Montie) Hiles, Carrie and Dalton Steele, Amber, April, Adam and Autumn Wheeler; great grandchildren, Cooper Gordon and Audree Hiles.

Howard was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Jack Wheeler and sisters, Freda, Susie, Anna and Iris Wheeler and his dog, Freckles.

The family will receive visitors 6-8 PM, Friday, Decmeber 17 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Cremation will follow.
