James Matthew Herman Love, 16, of Crooksville died, at 10:26 AM, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus following complications of pneumonia. Through a veil of tears, James’ family gave consent for him to be an organ donor where his gifts will be used for life saving purposes.
He was born December 6, 2001 in Zanesville, the son of Phillip Morgan and April Love of Crooksville.
James was a loved young man, especially by his grandparents, Sharon and Eddie Love who raised James and his brother Jordan in their home. In the Love household James held power and control over the TV remote, always recording his favorite shows, whether they be cooking programs on the Food Network, foreign soap operas or his favorite being Pokémon. James was interested in so many things: the outdoors, raising chickens and gardening with his grandfather, even decorating cakes and baking cookies with his Mamaw and Aunt Aliza. Carrying on with the family tradition James was also involved with his 4-H group The Backwoods Buckeyes.
Just finishing his tenth year as a student at Crooksville High School, James enjoyed school, and being able to have fun palling around with his friends. One of his best friends, was the school nurse, Jodi who he was sure to always share a valentine with.
In addition to his parents, James leaves behind his loving maternal grandparents, Eddie and Sharon Love; his aunts and best friends, Aliza (CJ) Snyder and Amanda (Hunter) Wilson; his siblings, Jordan Morgan, Cali Morgan, Mya Morgan, Jadyn Harper, Jinson Harper and Bryson Morgan; his great-grandparents, Gary and Ethel Hollenbaugh; his great-grandfather, Norman Etters and his many many aunts and uncles and great-aunts and uncles.
James is preceded in death by his three great uncles; his paternal great-grandparents and maternal and paternal great-grandparents and his great-aunt.
The Love family will be receiving friends, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of James’ life will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 12 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Harper officiating. James will be laid to rest in Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Roseville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or The Waterford Commercial & Savings Bank in Crooksville to assist in final expenses. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
