John M. Stoneburner

John M. Stoneburner, 69 of Crooksville, Ohio (Deavertown) passed away at 6:05 AM, Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville following a sudden illness.

He was born November 20, 1944 in Zanesville, the son of the late Dalton Vaughn and Edna (Baker) Stoneburner.

John retired from Cooper Standard (Higbie) in New Lexington where was an electrician. He was a member of Deavertown United Methodist Church and UAW Local #1686.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Karen Colborn Stoneburner; his sons and daughter-in-law, Scott Stoneburner and special friend, Angel Palmer and Alan and Toots Stoneburner, all of Deavertown; his brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Betty Stoneburner of New Lexington; his grandchildren, Caela(Ben) Bradford, Josh Stoneburner(Amanda McNutt), Jeremy Stoneburner(Shelby Tabler), Tiffany Stoneburner(Seth Roberts), Joey Stoneburner(Chelsea Goodin), Tosha Stoneburner, Traci Stoneburner, Ashley(Logan)Kovaleski, John(Tiffany)Stoneburner, Jimmy(Sara)Stoneburner, Casondra(Clinton)Toole and Lloyd(Laurie)Needham; his great grandchildren, Quinten Stoneburner, Malachi Kovaleski, Carter Inman, Emalee Toole, Sylas Roberts, Brynley Needham, Blaine Needham, Xavier Bradford, Zoie Bradford and McCoy Bradford and special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy and Rudy Crawford.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Justin, Amy and Tuesday Stoneburner; his great grandchild, Cadince Stoneburner and his sister, Rita Campbell.

Family and friends will be received 4:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 13 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of John's life will be Friday, February 14th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Russell White officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery near Deavertown.
