Joseph Leonard Fulk, Jr., 33, of Crooksville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

He was born July 19, 1984, in Columbus, the son of Joseph and Lisa (Snider) Fulk of Corning.

Joseph bravely served and fought for his country overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom as a proud United States Marine. After his two tours of duty, Joe headed back stateside where he completed the five-year IBEW apprenticeship, following the completion of the program, Joe worked for Local Union 683 as a certified electrician and would later be an instructor for the very program he completed. Joe was a true outdoorsman, he enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting, shooting guns, riding his razor and spending his days riding his motorcycle. In addition to his love for the outdoors, Joe had an even greater admiration for his family, especially his loving parents, he was never one to miss his mother's Sunday dinners. But Joe's greatest joys in life were his wife, Helen and his darling sons, Owen, Oliver and Henry, there is no greater love that Joe had than for his family.

In addition to his parents, Joe leaves behind his loving wife of six years, Helen (Bobb) Fulk; his precious children, Owen Joseph Fulk, Oliver Jaxon Fulk and Henry Adam Fulk; his siblings, Haley (James) Montgomery, Ben (Courtny) Fulk and Andrew (Jenna) Fulk; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Tim and Lisa Bobb; his maternal grandparents, Pat and Jim Snider; his aunts Suzanne (Donna) Snider; his uncle, Mark (Christy) Snider, his nieces and nephews, Karter, Connor, Blaine, Weston, Parker and Sophia and his best childhood friends, Casey Heiney and James Grimmett.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Mary Catherine Fulk and other aunts and uncles.

The Fulk family will be receiving friends, 2:00 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Joe's life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 22 at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery where full Military Honors will be presented by the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard with the assistance of the VFW Post 9090 and the American Legion Post 222.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to an account which has been set up to help offset funeral costs at the People's National Bank, 55 N. Main St., Roseville, Ohio. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
