Joyce Ann Brown

Joyce Ann Brown, 64, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 2:25 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville after an extended illness.

She was born February 8, 1947 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Thelbert Shepard and Virginia Wood Carroll of Ironspot.

Joyce was a former employee of Glassfloss Coproration where she worked for 23 years.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 34 years, George Brown; her son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Crystal Brown of Crooksville; her brothers and sisters-in-law, William Richard and Shirley Carroll of Idaho, Howard and Debra Carroll of Wisconsin, James David and Dawni Carroll of Roseville; four grandchildren, Marissa Danielle and Karah Rochelle Brown, Mirranda Pharis and McKayla Chevalier.

In addition to her father, Joyce was preceded in death by her step-father, Jewell Carroll.

The Brown family will receive family and friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, December 4 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE.
Funeral services and a celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 5 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave., Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
