Kathryn M. DeSarro

Kathryn M. DeSarro, 88, of South Zanesville, Ohio passed away at 5:40 AM, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Clay Gardens Place in Zanesville.

She was born February 10, 1929 in Beverly, the daughter of the late Glen and Anna (Sherman) Dobbins.

Kathryn was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed growing her garden and sewing. Over the years, she had attended St. Thomas Catholic Church with her husband and children.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Jerry Moore of Middleburg, Florida and Karen and Terry Neal of Zanesville; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Deloris Dobbins of Marietta; her grandchildren and their spouses, Timothy and Karie Johns, Julie and Michael Griffis, Kelli Whittaker, Jody and Teresa Moore and her great grandchildren, Timothy Johns, Jr., Cole Hewett, Carlee Griffis, Hannah Whittaker, Lukas and Charlie Moore.

In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Philip DeSarro who passed away March 24, 1999 and her sister, Elizabeth Lane.

Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Kathryn's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, south of Crooksville.
