Larry James Bolyard, 86, of Crooksville, Ohio died at 10:28 AM, Monday, December 20, 2021 at his residence.
He was born January 31, 1935 in Morgan County, the eldest son of Emmett Foster and Mabel Irene (nee: Edgell) Bolyard.
Larry was a former employee of Ohio Ferro Alloy in Philo and retired from Malta Manufacturing. Following his retirement, he worked for York Township. In his younger days, he worked in the timbering industry. In his leisure time, he enjoyed coon hunting, mushroom and ginseng hunting and anything that involved being outdoors. Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Left behind to mourn his passing are his sons and their spouses, Steven and Kimberly Bolyard and Doug and Jacqueline Bolyard; his grandchildren, Ashlie (Clint) Adkins, Zach (Whitney) Bolyard, Colton Bolyard, Darby Bolyard, Allison (John) Richard and Nicholas Bolyard and his great grandchildren, Belle and Cameron Adkins, Zoey, Sonny, Jet, Lola and Winnie Bolyard, Emma Jo Richard, Darrah and Ameliah Bolyard.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle (nee: Mingus) Bolyard who died January 12, 2012 and his brothers, Hugh and Brian Bolyard.
Family and friends will be received 5-8 PM, Wednesday, December 22 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 23 at the funeral home with Greg Marquis as celebrant. Larry will be laid to rest next to his wife in Zion Cemetery, Portersville.
