Larry Dean Eveland, 60, of Nashport died peacefully in his recliner in the evening hours of, Sunday, November 21, 2021, following a long battle with Diabetes.
Larry was a surprise baby, born to his older and late parents, Dean Wright and Alice Jane (Geidenberger) Eveland on March 6, 1961.
He was a graduate of Crooksville High School and attended the police academy at the former Muskingum Area Technical College. Larry worked various jobs throughout his life, from Longaberger as a welder, to a bouncer at a bar in Zanesville. He was a dedicated and enthusiastic hunter, he was an expert coyote hunter, and spent endless hours in the woods hunting deer. Being a true and authentic outdoorsman, Larry also fished, for anything that would take his bait. He was one of the organizers for the Kidz Fishing Day at the Rolling Hills Pay Lake. Larry was a dear friend to many, and a great neighbor, he was known for hosting people in his home for chili.
Although Larry’s choices created many strained relationships in his family, he did have pride in his two sons. They were the best good that he ever put into this world.
“Dad, we may not have really known one another, but we did not hate you. Your life was your own and you lived it the best way you knew how, we do not blame you, we were never left wanting. We never wished you ill and hoped that your life be filled with joy. We appreciate the memories and laughs that we did have with you, we never doubted your love for us. We wish you eternal peace and proudly carry your name.” Love your sons, Kyle & Nathan Eveland
Left behind on this earth are his sons, Kyle Eveland (Jayde Lutz) and Nathan (Hannah) Eveland; his sister, Vickie Brown, nieces, Tracey (Dave) Cowden, Jennifer (Damon) Swope and Sara Brown and his great nieces and nephews, Victoria Cowden, Katerina Ray, Emma Wilson, Alli Wilson, Chase Brown, Hunter Brown, Xander Swope, Ronin Swope and Parker Cowden.
