Leanna Cavinee

On 4/17/16 4:00pm, Leanna Cavinee age 72, of Crooksville, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born March 7, 1944 in Athens, the daughter of Effie Stephenson and Richard Jackson Sr. She was married on July 26, 1975 to Gene Cavinee.

She was a 1962 Graduate of Crooksville High School. She was beautician for 30 years and retired from work in 1988. Leanna enjoyed needle point and ceramic painting which she displayed as decorations in her home. She enjoyed time with her husband and all her family. She also enjoyed her friends and looked forward to her lunch outings with them. She especially enjoyed spending time with her Golden Girl friends Micky and Brenda.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Richard Jackson, Jr.

Leanna is survived by her husband of 40 years Gene Cavinee, Brother William (Ann) Jackson of Norfolk, VA, Brother-in-law Harold Shepard of Roseville, Sister-in-law Phyllis Jackson of Crooksville. One step daughter, Kerri (Toby) Gilligan of Junction; two step sons, Brent (Angie) Cavinee and Todd (Trina) Cavinee of Crooksville; six grandchildren, Lindsey and McKinsey Gilligan, Brandon and Hannah Cavinee and Justin and Nichole Cavinee and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Following her wishes no services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Genesis Hospice in her memory.
