Leslie A. "Les" Dillinger, 69, of Philo, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville following an extended illness.
He was born on July 12, 1944 in Zanesville to the late Clarence L. and Virginia L. Moody Dillinger.
Les was a construction worker by trade and a member of Zanesville VFW Post# 1058, the Zanesville American Legion Post# 29, the Crooksville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1979, and was a 1963 graduate of Crooksville High School.
Les served our country in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart Award.
Les is survived by his sons, Keith and Lisa Dillinger of Fultonham, Ryan and Amber Dillinger of Zanesville and Kyle Dillinger of Zanesville; his brothers, Denzil Dillinger of Crooksville, Terry and Rhonda Dillinger of Roseville, Tom Dillinger of Hebron and Tim and Lois Dillinger of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Kylie, Elizabeth, Colton, Collin, Natalie and Colton and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Les is preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Dillinger.
In keeping with Les's wishes, cremation will take place. Graveside services with full military honors will take place Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 PM at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Roseville.
