Linda Faye Wood, 56, of Crooksville (Rose Farm), Ohio passed away at 8:45 PM, Monday, March 11, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
Linda was born June 25, 1956 in Zanesville, the daughter of Tommy Wood of Newark and the late Leila Faye Wilson Wood.
Linda was former employee of Beaumont Pottery in Crooksville. She was a member of the American Legion Post #222 Auxiliary and VFW #9090 both in Crooksville.
She is survived by her father Tommy Wood and his wife, Carol of Newark; her fiance`, Marlin Wilson; her children, Makayla and her husband, Michael Baker of Hamilton, Paul Wilson of Rose Farm and Matt and Cathy Wilson of Oakfield; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Wyatt and David Baker, Hannah, River, Chloe and Mya Wilson, numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters, Steve Wood of Roseville, Brenda and Ed Hoops and Pam and Jeff Wolfe all of New Lexington, Kelly and Teresa Wood of Newark, Janey Wood of Crooksville, Karen Wood of Portersville and friend, Connie Bowen of Crooksville.
In addition to her mother, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth R. Wood; sister-in-law, Marlene Wood and grandparents, John and Gladys (Bunny) Wood and Virginia and Willard Buckley.
Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Wednesday, March 13 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Linda's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 14 at the funeral home with Pastor Justin Van Orman officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Crooksville.
