Margaret M. "Peggy" Cannon

Margaret Marie "Peggy" Cannon, 82, of Newark, formerly of Crooksville, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Newark Hills Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.

Peggy was born on August 23, 1935 in Perry County, the daughter of the late, Arthur and Margaret Taylor Levering.

She was a member of the First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville.

Peggy is survived by her son, Christopher (Shawn) Cannon of Newark and her three grandchildren, Madison, Ian and Grayson.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Doug E. Cannon who died January 30, 2005.

Family and friends will be received, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Peggy's life will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Gay E. Blau officiating. Burial will follow beside her beloved husband, Doug in Crooksville Cemetery.
