Mary E. (Ferguson) Skeens
February 7, 1936 — March 11, 2018
Mary E. Skeens, 82, of Crooksville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 11, 2018 following an extended illness.
She was born February 7, 1936 in Corning, the daughter of the late Harry T. and Evelyn (Duncan) Ferguson.
Mary retired on July 1, 1999 from PCC Airfoils in Crooksville. She was Methodist by faith.
She was a wonderful mother to her two children, Karen (Dan) Hinkle and Thomas B. (Kelly) Conaway, Jr. all of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Dan (LaDawn)Hinkle, Ashley Smith (Logan Goins) and Abby Lauren Conaway; her great grandchildren, Alayna and Alyvia Hinkle, Skylin Smith and Oakley Goins; her sisters, Anna Marie Street of Newark and Beverly Sue Smith of New Lexington and her brother, Terry Ferguson (Toni Huffman) of Malta.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Skeens who passed away Oct. 13, 2000; her brothers, Thomas and James Ferguson and her sister, Vera Maxine Reed.
Family and friends will be received 4-8 PM, Tuesday, March 13 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Mary's life and will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 14 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
