Maxine Bolyard, 90, of N. 9th St., McConnelsville, Ohio passed away at 12:36 A.M., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Genesis Health & Rehab Center, McConnelsville after an extended illlness.
She was born February 2, 1920 in Preston County, West Virginia the daughter of the late Charles and Leecy Godwin Funk. Maxine had worked as a cook at Kethcham's Nursing Home near Sayre and was a member of Portersville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Francis) Silvus of Hackney and Teresa (Bernard) Steimer of Tridelphia; two sons, Bill (Sherry) Bolyard of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jim (Fontell) Bolyard of Crooksville; one sister, Lida (Roger) Gardner of Akron; one brother, Harold (Doris) Funk of Akron; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren,nine great great grandchildren and several special step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Arnold Bolyard who died December 20, 1971; brothers, Ted, Virgil, Roy, Dicky, Raymond and Robert Funk and sisters, Evelyn Bolyard and Marie Funk.
The Bolyard family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.,Sunday, April 18,2010 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where funeral services and a celebration of Maxine's life will be held at 11:00 A.M.,Monday, April 19 with Pastor Kip Miller officiating.
