Michael Allen Searles

Michael Allen Searles, 53, of Crooksville, died at 3:34 PM, Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Genesis Hospital emergency room following an apparent heart attack.

He was born Thursday, December 28, 1967 in Licking County, the son of the late Robert and Sandra (nee: Curran) Searles.

Michael was disabled and a former employee of Cyril Scott Printing Company in Lancaster. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the Perry County Fair, watching truck pulls and mowing grass.  He loved Dodge trucks. He loved spending time with his grandkids, teaching them hand signals (especially #1) and getting them in trouble. He was a devoted husband, dad and grandpa.

Left behind to mourn his passing are his beloved wife of 23 years, Tammy (nee: Gardner) Searles; his children, Mindi (Wayne) Sagle, Casi (Gary) Kinney and Trevor Kinney (Tim Savage); his twin brother, Mark (Anita) Searles; his sister, Lisa (Michael) Phillips; his special niece, Ashley Phillips; his grandchildren, Colten and Daphney Carter, Christopher McKamey, Branson and Trenten Sagle, Kameron and Alayna Savage, Gary and Ashlee Kinney; his great grandchildren, Indy and Emory Ferguson; special aunt and uncle, Tom and Trinda Curran and special cousins, Jesse and Nikki Curran.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Searles and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carroll and Barbara Gardner.

Family and friends may visit to pay respects 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Saturday, February 27 at the funeral home with Tim Lape as celebrant.  Michael will be laid to rest in Millertown Cemetery near Corning.
