Monna B. Maxwell, 91, of Crooksville, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster.
Monna was born November 11, 1925 in Deavertown, the daughter of the late, Joseph and Helen Biggs Thomas.
She was a former pottery worker for Nelson-McCoy in Roseville.
Monna is survived by her daughter, Judy Klingler of Crooksville; her sons, Jack (Donna) Maxwell of Crooksville and Donald Maxwell of Crooksville; her sisters, Joy McGrath of Crooksville and JoAnn Weir of California; her nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Monna is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald Ray Maxwell, Jerry Lee Maxwell and James Warren Maxwell; her grandsons, Adam Scott and James Donald Maxwell; her step-granddaughter, Donna Nelson; her step-great-grandson, Virgil Ray Cannon; her sisters, Patricia Blaney and Marjorie Bush and her son-in-law, Bill Klingler.
Family and friends will be received, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2017 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Monna's life will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 3 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
