Nancy A. Watson, 81, of Crooksville, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family at 2:52 PM, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio following an extended illness.

She was born February 3, 1933 in Rose Farm, the daughter of the late Charles McCabe and Laura Wood Snide.

Nancy was a homemaker and a life member of the Crooksville VFW Auxiliary # 9090.

Nancy is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Paul Gene Watson, Sr. of the home; her daughter, Aunda Patterson of New Straitsville; her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Tammy Watson of Crooksville; her granddaughter, Alisha Van Atta; her grandchildren, Tanner Watson, Stevi Watson, Paul Watson III, Tony Taylor, Julie Taylor, Trina Taylor, Jamie Wilson, Jessica Watts and Miranda Hohn; her nine great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Carol Taylor, her special friend, Arthur Pete Van Atta; and her special granddog, Boo.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Charles Gene Taylor, her great-granddaughter, Haley Taylor, her sister, Helen, her brothers Jack, Charles and Jim McCabe; and her stepfather, Lester Snide.

Friends and family will be received 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2014 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Nancy's life will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 29th at the funeral home with Bill Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery in Crooksville.

Memorial contributions can be made to FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care, 282 Sells, Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
