Patricia Ann Cannon, 86, of New Lexington, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:53 AM, Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus from complications of a stroke.
She was born September 8, 1934 in Danville, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Mona (nee: Harless) Ballard.
Pat was a homemaker, caring for her family was her main priority in life. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. In her younger days, she was quite the mushroom and ginseng hunter. Pat enjoyed gardening and cooking fine meals for her family. She was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville and a member of the United Methodist Womens’ Group.
Left behind to mourn her passing are her children and their spouses, Jody Cannon (Jim), Kim and Kathie Cannon, Kevin and Judy Cannon and Kent and Sharon Cannon; her grandchildren, Danielle (Jason) Whitehead, Nate (Kate) Cannon, Koehler (Hall) Beard, Drew (Maggie) Cannon, Clint Cannon (Brooke Haberkamp), Braxton (Jenna) Cannon, Bo Cannon and Jensen Reed (Ashley) and her great-grandchildren, Jack, Ellie, Mary Maxwell and Clara Whitehead, Elloree, Nash, and Ford Cannon, Emily and Tilly Beard, Clayton, Sawyer, Lillie and Camden Cannon, Barrett Cannon, Skylin Smith, Liam, Evie and Cora Reed.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Max Cannon who died February 16, 2008; her grandson, Jack Whitehead and her siblings, Betty Lou Meadows, Joseph Ballard and Donald Gene Ballard.
Family and friends will be received 5-8 PM, Friday, July 30, 2021 and 9-11 AM Saturday, July 31 at First Hope United Methodist Church, 102 N. Buckeye St, Crooksville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the church with Pat’s son, Kim Cannon as celebrant. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Crooksville Cemetery.
Contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055. Envelopes will be available at the church.
