Rhea Fern Young

Rhea Fern Young, 89, formerly of Crooksville, passed away at 7:17 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care Pickering House in Lancaster after an extended illness. Born December 4, 1919 in Crooksville to the late David Floyd Baughman and Jessie Brown Baughman she was a former employee of Old Gem, Alpine Pottery and Essex Wire and a member of the Maple Ave. Christian Church in Crooksville. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Marie Morgan of Cape Coral, Fl., Margaret Ann (Douglas) Basford of Newark; her step- daughter, Linda (Alfred) Lunn of Crooksville; her son, Tom (Lynn) Vaughan of Lancaster; step- son, Richard (Margaret) Young of Somerset and Tom Young; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Neal Vaughan, who passed away Aug. 19, 1978; her second husband, Franklin K. Young, who passed away Sept. 10, 1996; her parents; her brothers, Dale Butch Baughman and Noel Baughman; and her sisters, Lorena Spence and Mary Margaret Starner. Friends may call Friday, December 4 from 2-5 P.M. at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST.,CROOKSVILLE, where services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2009 with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Township Cemetery in Carol, Ohio.
