Robert L. Hammond

Robert L. Hammond, 74, of Westerville, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 12:45 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born April 2, 1942 in Crooksville, the son of the late Thomas Robert and Geraldine (Perigo) Hammond.

Robert was a retired branch manager of City Loan, having managed offices in Crooksville, New Lexington, Zanesville and Columbus. He was a member of the Ohio Consumer Loan Association, and Church of The Atonement Catholic Church in Crooksville. He was a great supporter of the American Heart Association and the Crooksville Band Boosters while his daughter was in the Crooksville Band.

Robert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Peggy Binegar-Hammond; his daughter, Melinda Dalenberg of Mansfield; his sister, Mary (Keith) Householder of Rushville; his brothers, Larry (Lisa) Hammond of LeHigh Acres, Florida, Rick (Mary) Hammond and Randy (Patty) Hammond, all of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Brandon McGrath, Parker and Spencer Dalenberg all of Mansfield.

Family and friends will be received 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery were interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218-2039. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
