Robert E. Newlon, Sr

Robert Eugene Newlon, Sr., 65, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 2:23 PM, Friday, July 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville following a sudden illness.

Robert was born September 12, 1946 in Zanesville, the son of the late Dyrall and Thelma Van Wey Newlon.

Robert served our country in the US Army during Vietnam. He was a self-employed truck driver. He was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Lynette Allen Newlon; his daughters, Lora Newlon, Amber Newlon, Jody Coulson, Amber(Tim) Kennedy, Danielle(Michael)Gensley and Chelsea(Michael)Cavinee; his son, Dyrall(Minette) Newlon; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandson.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Robert Newlon, Jr. snd his sister, Darlene Newlon.

Friends and family will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, July 30, 2012 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Robert's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 31 at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Woodrum officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery with full military honors.
