Robert L. Stalter

Robert Lee "Bob" Stalter, 53, of Crooksville, Ohio (Portersville) passed away at 10:59 AM, Tuesday April 15, 2014 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster following a brief illness.

Robert was born on January 16, 1961 in Zanesville, the son of Sarah "Winnie" Sharkey Stalter of Crooksville and the late Donald L. Stalter.

He was a machine operator for Kaiser Aluminum in Heath for over 27 years. Robert was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1979 and loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Robert is survived by his mother Sarah "Winnie" Sharkey Stalter, his daughter Emily Stalter and Matt Schmitt of Hilliard; his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Kathy Stalter of Crooksville; his two grandchildren, Sarah and Bryan Stalter; his niece, Brandy Carr; his nephew, Josh and Georgette Carr; and his dog, Buck.

In addition to his father, Robert is preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Carr and his brother-in-law, Tom Carr.

Family and friends will be received 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM, Friday April 18, 2014 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Robert's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Con Wolf officiating. In keeping with Robert's wishes a dignified cremation will take place.
