Robert Lee Ungemach, 69, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Roseville died at 4:18 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1952 in Zanesville, the son of the late Robert and Bonibelle (nee: Allard) Ungemach.
He was a 1970 graduate of Roseville High School, which was the last class to graduate from the school. He had worked as a tool and die maker at the family pottery, Ungemach Pottery in Roseville. In 1987, Lee and his wife, Debbie, established Alpine Pottery, making and decorating their own wares. After, the pottery was closed in 2004, Lee attended Hondros College of Real Estate, acquired his real estate license and was currently working for Y City Realty in Zanesville. In his leisure time, Lee was the creator of things of beauty, crafts, paintings, making Christmas baskets. His memberships include St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Roseville, Peerless Lodge 591 F & A M in Crooksville, Roseville Lions’ Club and American Legion Post #29 in Zanesville.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife of 50 years, Debbie (nee: Desarro) Ungemach; his sons and daughter-in-law, Josh and Jennifer Ungemach and Jeff Ungemach; his beloved grandson, Bradon Ungemach; his mother-in-law, Sally ‘Mom’ Desarro; his special little girl dog, Sophie; his grand puppies and kitties, Georgia Bell, Wrigley Grace and Kona and many special friends.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Sherry Reed and Vicki Wulf.
Family and friends will be received 4-8 PM, Sunday, May 15 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Peerless Lodge 591 F & A M will hold Masonic services there at 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, May 16 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 92 N. Main St., Roseville with Rev. Mark Combs as celebrant. Lee will be laid to rest next to his family in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville.
Contributions may be made in Lee’s memory to Muskingum County Animal Shelter, 1430 Newark Rd., Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
