Roxanne Marie (Freriks) Dalrymple

December 11, 1953 — December 21, 2023

Roseville

With profound sadness yet with hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Roxanne Marie Dalrymple.  On December 21, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family, Roxanne peacefully departed from this world at the Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville, leaving a legacy of kindness, warmth and unwavering friendship.  Born on a crisp winter day, Friday, December 11, 1953 in Zanesville, Roxanne was the first daughter of the late Robert and Thelma (nee: White) Freriks.   Her life was a tapestry of joyous moments and meaningful connections, beginning with her spirited years at Crooksville High School, where she graduated in 1972.  Her cheerleading days were just a glimpse of the infectious enthusiasm and positivity she carried throughout her life.  Roxanne’s journey was marked by love and dedication.  On October 19, 1975, she married her soulmate, Donald Kem Dalrymple, and together they embarked on a life filled with love, laughter, and the blessing of family.  Roxanne’s career at First National Bank in Zanesville spanned over 33 years, where she touched many lives with her genuine care and commitment.  Her later years at the Muskingum County Library were equally impactful as she continued to serve her community with grace and kindness.  A devout member of Church of The Atonement Catholic Church in Crooksville, Roxanne’s faith was a guiding light in her life, inspiring her selfless devotion to her husband, sons and grandchildren.  Her love knew no bounds and she found immense joy in the simple pleasures of family life--from watching her sons grow and excel in sports to cherishing every moments with her beloved grandchildren.  Roxanne’s presence was a gift—her conversations, a treasure.  She had the rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard and loved.  Her legacy is one of unconditional love, boundless generosity and the gentle warmth of her spirit that touched all that knew her.  She leaves behind a loving family;  her devoted husband of 48 years, Donald; her sons and their spouses, Brett and Toni Dalrymple and Brady and Lindsey Dalrymple; her adored  grandchildren, Evey, Bodey, Theo, Owen and Stella Dalrymple; her aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Chuck Sayles and her caring sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Steve Blanchard.  As we remember Roxanne Marie Dalrymple, let us celebrate a life that exemplified kindness, a heart that always had room for more and a soul that brightened every room.  Roxanne’s memory will continue to inspire and comfort us, a beautiful reminder of the power of love and friendship.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories  2-8 PM, Tuesday, December 26 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  A Funeral Mass in celebration of Roxanne’s life will be held  at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 27 at Church of The Atonement Catholic Church, 300 Winter St., Crooksville with Father Mark Ghiloni and Father Tony Frecker as celebrants. Roxanne will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, south of Crooksville, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness.
