Ruth T. Watts

Ruth T. Watts, 91 of 120 Waverly Gables, Waverly, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville, died at 3:15 P.M., Sunday, November 8, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon after an extended illness. Born February 24, 1918 in Crooksville, Ruth was the daughter of the late James Howard and Nellie Warner Tatman. She had worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Community Action Center in Waverly, was a member of the Walnut St. United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, and was an active member and Past Worthy Matron of Waverly #99 Order of Eastern Star.
Ruth is survived by two special nieces, Kathleen (Bruce) Ashcraft of Pataskala and Darcy Lyle of Vincennes, Indiana; her very dear friend, Millie (Phil) New of Waverly; her cousin, Charlotte (Charles) Tatman of Columbus; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Watts of Black Lick, Katherine (Raymond) Warren of Michigan City, Indiana, Louise Watts of Vincennes, Indiana, and Kay Watts of Lancaster, Ohio; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, O. Addison Watts who died July 19, 1995.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, November 11 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where Eastern Star services will be held at 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, November 12 with Rev. Gay E. Blau officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
