Sheldon Leon Reed, age 55, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, October 10. 2013, in Noble County.
He was born November 21, 1957, in New Lexington, son of Veldine M. Francis Reed of McConnelsville and the late Albert A. Reed. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School, and he was a member of the Zion Free Methodist Church in Perry County, Ohio and the Deaf Bass Anglers of America. He was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed deer hunting.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Reed; one son, Leon Reed; one brother, Tom Reed; and an infant sister, Cheryl Reed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Barbara V. Reed of the home; his siblings, Edith Frecker of Zanesville, Connie Justice of Marietta, Mark Reed of Stockport, Albert (Debbie) Reed of Crooksville, Rose (Kenneth) Hensler of Jackson, and David Reed of Zanesville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Sunday, October 13, 2013, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, and Monday, October 14th at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye Street, Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Shelly's life will be Tuesday, October 15 at 11:00 AM at Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Monty Hurst officiating.
