Shirley Lee Harris, 90, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 26, 2025, in her home with her loving husband and daughter by her side. She was born April 16, 1934 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude (Watts) Cannon.
Shirley was a proud member of Faith Church, where she found joy and purpose in her faith. She worked as a dedicated secretary for Ferro Corp, where she made lasting friendships and contributed her talents with warmth and professionalism. After her retirement from Ferro, Shirley attended Ohio University Zanesville, where she graduated in fashion merchandising.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Henry "Buck" Harris, her devoted daughter, Marsha Harris, and her cherished grandchildren, Lesley Longstreth and Brandon (Shannon) Longstreth. Her family was the center of her world, and she filled their lives with love, laughter, and lessons that will resonate for generations to come. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a shining light in the lives of many, and her legacy will live on through her family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gertrude Cannon, her sisters, Barbara (Galen) Pittman and Carol Cannon, and her brother, Alan Cannon and her twin brother, Wallace Cannon.
The Harris family has chosen to mourn privately, Shirley will be cremated and buried in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Goebel Funeral Home is caring for the Harris family.
