Sylvia Mae Satterfield

Sylvia Mae Satterfield, 80, of Crooksville, passed away at 8:30 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2013 after an extended illness.

She was born on April 20, 1933 in Woodsfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Sarah Parks Ayers.

Sylvia was a devout member of the First Assembly of God Church in Zanesville.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dorsey "Scotty" Satterfield of the home; her daughters, Susan (Doug) Johnson of Lake Mary, Florida and Sallie Robinson (Robert Franklin) of Crooksville; her son, Scott Satterfield of Crooksville; her daughter-in-law, Noreen Satterfield of Crooksville; her brother, Harry Ayers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her grandchildren Jason Johnson, Nathan (Kym) Satterfield, Julie Johnson, Kayla (Nathan) Lindimore, Kristen Johnson, Eric Satterfield and Ashley Satterfield; her great grandchildren, Cole Satterfield, Clayton Satterfield, October Alexander and Makayle Lindimore.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia is preceded in death by her son, Steven D. Satterfield; her sisters, Ruth Bartimus, Beryl Stimmel and Martha Mautz and her brother, John Ralph Ayers.

Family and friends will be received 2:00-4:00 PM, 6:00-8:00 PM, Thusday, July 18, 2013 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastors Jim Peters and Jeff Fountain officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff cemetery in McLuney. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Pallative Care, 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
