Terry Dalton Buckley

Roseville

Terry Dalton Buckley, 86, of Roseville, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 7:30 AM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.

He was born Friday, May 21, 1937 in McLuney, the son of the late Robert and Ann (nee: Ebert) Buckley.

Dalton was a retired construction electrician having worked for Southeastern Electric, Inc. in Crooksville and was a member and past president of IBEW  Local #1105.  He had served our country in the US Marine Reserves.  He was a member of Zanesville American Legion Post 29 and VFW Post 1058.   In his younger days, Dalton was a very accomplished athlete and had been inducted into the McLuney Hall of Fame and Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame.  He was an avid fan and dedicated supporter of the Crooksville Schools athletic programs in which his children participated by being an active member of the Crooksville Athletic Association.  Dalton was a member of Church of The Atonement Catholic Church in Crooksville.

Dalton will be sadly missed by his children and their spouses, Lisa Buckley and A.J. Campbell, Randy and Heidi Buckley and Rod and Lori Buckley; his grandchildren, Sonia (Michael) Pease, Kia Buckley, Brodie Buckley, Kyla (Andy) Kappers, Kelsey (Tyler) Shackleford, Kole Buckley, Leslie (Mike) Dancho and Brooke (Denver) Mathys; his great grandchildren, Lily Pease, Gracie Pease, Bryson Buckley, Samuel Kappers, Emma and Hudson Mathys and Henry and Harrison Shackleford and very dear friends, Paul and Micky Williams, whom the family would like to thank for all the love and care they offered in helping care for Dalton for many years.

In addition to his parents, Dalton was preceded in death by his son, Richard Joe Buckley who passed away November 3, 2017.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Crooksville Cemetery where Dalton will be laid to rest with his son, Rick.  Pastor Marc Caton will offer words of hope and comfort to the family as they say goodbye to Dalton.
