Tony John Desarro

Tony John Desarro, 87, of Roseville, Ohio passed away at 4:40 PM, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville following an extended illness.

Tony was born March 25, 1927 in Ironspot, the son of the late Rosario and Jennie (Vino) Desarro.

He served our country in the US Air Force during WW2 and Korea. He was a retired manager from Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery in Roseville. Tony was a member of Lake Street Church of Christ and a life member of American Legion Post 71 both in Roseville and VFW Post 1058 in Zanesville.

Tony is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Whittington of Frazeysburg; his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Carol Desarro of Crestline, Phillip and Merylin Desarro of Dayton, Chris and Diane Desarro of Roseville and Eddie and Katie Desarro of North Carolina; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Sally Desarro of Ironspot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Seevers Desarro who passed away September 15, 2006; his brothers, Franklin 'Chico', Patsy, Johnny, Jimmy, and Phillip Desarro and his sisters, Catherine Head, Roseann Smith and Angela Miller.

Family and friends will be received 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 7 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at St. Joseph Cemetery near Crooksville with Don Roush officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors.
