William Keith Eppley, 63, of Crooksville, Ohio (Deavertown) died at 2:14 PM, Monday, May 3, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville due to complications of COVID-19 surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born December 18, 1957 in Zanesville, the youngest son of the late William T. and Irene (nee: McLaughlin) Eppley.
Bill was a self-employed truck driver for his own company, Eppley Trucking. He worked as a truck driver for Cardinal Glass of Utica for the past year. Bill worked long hours in the trucking industry but his leisure time was spent on the family farm and loved his time spent there with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was his son, Terry’s biggest fan as he watched him dirt track race all around the area. Bill also enjoyed playing cards, and riding in his buggy around the farm. He was a loving and devoted family man.
Left behind to mourn his passing is his beloved wife, Sonia (nee: Hutchins) Eppley whom he married on November 27, 1982; his children, Amanda (Matthew) Holcomb and Terry Hinkle (Brooke Ludwig); his brother, Wilford (Christine) Eppley; his beloved grandchildren, Hadley Holcomb, Allison Hinkle and Dawson Hinkle; his very good friend, Joe Abella and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Bettie McKinney, Martha Russell and Virgil Eppley and his special nephew, Thomas McKinney.
The family will receive visitors 5-8 PM, Wednesday, May 5 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, May 6 at the funeral home with Pastor Dick Newlon as celebrant. Bill will be laid to rest in Dutch Hill Cemetery near Deavertown.
