William M. "Mink" McCormick, 79, of Deavertown was reunited with his loving wife, on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 12:18 PM. Mink peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family.
William was born July 14, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of the late Kin and Mel Vina Adkins McCormick.
He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and construction worker.
William is survived by his daughters, Patricia Hamilton of Zanesville, Crystal Tracy of Buckeye Lake, Sheila Brewer of Zanesville, Vina Renick (Kevin Amspaugh) of Deavertown and Bertha McCormick of Deavertown; his sons, Martin Lee McCormick, Sr. of Zanesville, William Edward (Crystal) McCormick of Zanesville, Kenneth McCormick of Deavertown and Darrel (Cynthia) McCormick of Deavertown; his sister, Betty Campbell of South Zanesville; his brothers, Clyde (Elsie) McCormick of Woodsville, WV and Delmar (Betty) McCormick of Deavertown; his 23 grandchildren; his 21 great-grandchildren and his one great-great granddaughter, Aidley Isabelle.
In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by wife, Myrtle Diana Devoll McCormick who passed away March 27, 2011; his daughter, Bridgette Butler; his brothers; Harold, Tom and Buster McCormick and his granddaughter Stephanie Hamilton.
Friends and family will be received 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of William's life will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 16 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Dutch Hill Cemetery in Deavertown.
