William E. White, 74 of Hull St., Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 10:30 P.M., Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born February 27, 1936 in Athens County the son of the late Ernest and Lena Sprouse White. Bill was a former employee of Burnham Boiler in Zanesville, the Hull Pottery in Crooksville and Crooksville Coal Company and he was a member of Rosefarm Church of Christ.
He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Craig Caton of Crooksville, Lisa and Chuck Snider of New Lexington and Jan and Dean Smith of Zanesville; his two sons, and daughters-in-law, Chris and Staci White of Pickerington and Billy Joe and Heather White of Znaesville; his grandchildren, Josh(Elizabeth) Caton, Kevin(Linda)Caton, Kristen(Nathan) Filkins, Jon(Stephanie) Snider, Jessica(Kyle) Snider, Clay White, Maggie White, Owen White and Jerzei Blacketter; his great grandchildren, Violet, Drew, Elaine, Craig, and Flynn Caton; his sister, Sherri (Rick) Abbott of Deavertown; his brother, Earl (Ruth Ann) White of Crooksville. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean White who died last Thursday, April 1; son, Michael Caldwell; granddaughter, Jena Snider; sister, Judy Dell Carpenter.
The White family will receive visitors beginning at 12 noon on Friday, April 9 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. A Memorial service and celebration of Bill's and Doris' lives will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
